France's Mary Pierce stuned U.S. Open champion Kim Clijsters 6-1 4-6 7-6 in the opening match of the WTA Championships leading the black group. Clijsters made 31 unforced errors looking nervous throughout the match while Pierce looked relaxed and made her experience prevailed.
